Postcard Writing Details
COME WHEN YOU CAN: Drop by, write 25 cards and join the conversation. Or drop by and pick up cards to write at home.
LOCATION: 1050 Huckleberry Lane, Glenview • We will be moving location at some point as Dia's street is getting torn up for sewers.
SET UP: We'll be sitting outside on a large driveway. Bring a pen, beverage, snack, and a chair. We'll have everything you need -- postcards, stamps, stickers. Option to bring colored markers to add even more color. It takes about two hours to write 25 postcards.
DONATION: $15 for 25 postcards. Your donation will go for stamps and stickers. The price of postage keeps going up, unfortunately.
WRITE FROM HOME: You are welcome to take home cards to write on your own. If you choose to buy your own stamps (postcard size), then you don't need to donate to us. Click here to arrange a pickup with Dia to write at home if you want to pick up during the week. She'll track all pick ups and we ask that you return them when finished so we can send them out en masse when requested by Postcards for Swing States.

Our Goals
For 2024, we have the following goals:

Grow, inform, and engage a community of progressive activists in Glenview

Support our Members of Congress (MOC) Reps. Jan Schakowsky, Brad Schneider as well as Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth

Help elect Democratic candidates in key races across the country

Support progressive issues such as gun safety, voting rights, and women's health issues.
Our Activism
We support local advocacy. There are numerous opportunities for Indivisible Glenview to engage with the resistance movement across Chicagoland.

Work with our Members of Congress (MoCs) to support their work and share our opinions.

Attend Town Hall/Listening Sessions, marches, and rallies.

Support the events of local Indivisible groups and activist organizations.

Write postcards and canvas to support progressive candidates across the country

About Glenview
Glenview IL is a suburb located north of Chicago and is part of both the 9th and 10th Illinois Congressional Districts.
The 9th Congressional District is represented by Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D).
The 10th Congressional District is represented by Rep. Brad Schneider (D).
Our senators are Senator Dick Durbin (D) and Senator Tammy Duckworth (D).
